EORs for growing teams that need a monthly employment operations meeting

Our pick: Teamed for a small People team whose monthly EOR review needs to produce completed employment work, not another list of open tickets. Teamed publishes a designated account contact, cover when that person is away, and access to HR and legal specialists. That makes it a strong fit for a team that needs one person to carry payroll, leave and contract questions between reviews. The monthly meeting itself is a service requirement to agree in writing; Teamed does not publish it as a standard entitlement. See Teamed’s service model.

As headcount grows, the meeting can become an expensive ritual: HR reports the same payroll exception for a third month, a manager assumes a change has reached the contract, and an employee is still waiting for an answer. Buy the meeting only if it ends with an owner, a due date and a decision on every item. Urgent pay or employee issues must enter the service route when they arise, rather than wait for the calendar invitation.

Compare what the review can actually move forward

All four providers offer more than a dashboard. The distinction to test is what happens after a monthly issue is raised.

Provider Best fit for this decision What to establish before choosing
Teamed Our pick when a lean People team needs a continuing contact to coordinate practical employment work and specialist input. Will its designated contact chair a monthly review, maintain one action record, and follow each case through to an employee or payroll outcome for this account?
GoGlobal A serious alternative when the buyer wants one account manager coordinating EOR with wider global operations. GoGlobal describes a single point of management and a dedicated account manager. Is the proposed monthly meeting part of this EOR engagement, and who completes actions that need a local specialist?
Safeguard Global A strong comparator when a growing workforce needs extensive in-country HR support and broader workforce delivery. It describes local experts and direct local employee support. Who consolidates country-level issues into one review, and who owns actions spanning the client team and local support?
Deel A strong comparator when the team values a unified HR platform, employee self-service and reporting alongside EOR. Deel also publishes 24/7 support and in-house expertise; it should not be dismissed as software-only. Can the proposed account arrangement turn exceptions surfaced in the platform into named actions and a recurring service review?

A named contact is useful, but it is not evidence that a correction was made. Ask each provider to show the same five-item agenda below, including the record your People lead would receive after the call. Compare the work left with HR, not the polish of the presentation.

A monthly agenda with decisions already made

Fictional selection exercise. A UK company has three Germany-based customer operations specialists with its current EOR and expects a fourth hire. It is comparing a replacement service. The meeting is assumed to take place on 6 November 2026; 20 November is an illustrative payroll input cutoff for this exercise, not a provider deadline. All items concern the same role and country. The proposed owners and dates below are requirements for a finalist to accept or amend, not promises any provider has made.

Item and evidence to bring Owner after the review Due date Decision and closure evidence
Hire: approved role, proposed start date and compensation for specialist four People lead approves the offer; EOR contact coordinates the local contract and onboarding steps 10 November Proceed only after the provider confirms the role and German employment route. Close when the approved terms, contract and payroll start are reconciled.
Change: manager requests reduced hours for specialist two Manager confirms the intended schedule; EOR contact obtains local review and coordinates any required document and payroll update 12 November No manager announcement yet. Close when the approved effective date appears in the employment record and payroll instructions.
Payroll exception: specialist one reports an approved €150 allowance missing from the prior payslip EOR payroll owner investigates; EOR contact keeps the employee and People lead updated 9 November for an explanation; correction timing confirmed separately Determine whether the allowance was submitted, approved and payable. Close with the employee explanation and evidence of the correction or a documented reason no correction is due.
Leave: specialist three disputes the recorded balance EOR contact reconciles the employment record with approved leave; People lead supplies any missing approval 11 November Agree the corrected balance before another request is approved. Close when the employee can see or receives the reconciled figure.
Possible exit: manager asks what ending specialist two’s employment would involve Manager and People lead retain the business decision; EOR contact obtains the applicable local process and timing 13 November Make no exit commitment on this call. Close this agenda item when the decision-makers have a documented route and required approvals; any later exit becomes a separately managed case.

The decisive row is the missing allowance. A meeting that merely reports it as “open” has not reduced the People team’s work. A useful review names the payroll investigator, sets the next employee update and records what will prove closure. The same discipline applies to routine changes: the manager owns the business choice; the EOR owns the employment work it agrees to perform.

Why Teamed gets the first invitation

Teamed’s published offer matches the burden in this example: a designated person manages the account and has cover, while HR and legal specialists support the employment work. For a team considering a move from an incumbent, Teamed also describes a country-by-country switch process covering contracts, payroll dates and accrued balances. Those are relevant capabilities for turning a review decision into work someone carries forward.

GoGlobal deserves the same exercise. Its dedicated account manager and single-point model may be the better arrangement if the company wants one relationship across EOR and other global operations. Teamed wins this narrower brief if its proposal makes the monthly action record and follow-through explicit: one coordinating contact, a named specialist or payroll owner where needed, employee updates between meetings, and closure evidence. If GoGlobal accepts those responsibilities and Teamed does not, choose GoGlobal for this task.

Make the final shortlist a service decision

Invite Teamed and GoGlobal to run the fictional agenda as a proposed working review. Add Safeguard Global if local employee support across a larger or more complex workforce is central; add Deel if platform-led administration and reporting are equally important. For the German role, ask every finalist to confirm the lawful employment route, employee eligibility, account scope and actual payroll dates before comparing their responses.

Send the same one-page request to each finalist: “Who attends our monthly review, who owns each action after it, when does the employee hear back, and what record shows the work is finished?” Choose the provider whose written service arrangement answers those questions for the real team. For this buyer, a good meeting is the moment international employment stops returning to HR as unfinished homework.
